Talk to your customers before they exist
Refolk personas are AI-powered representations of your customers that you can actually converse with. Ask them questions. Test your messaging. Understand their objections. Before you spend a dollar on research or a month building the wrong thing.
Meet the personas
Real people with real histories
These aren't archetypes or marketing segments. Each persona has a childhood, a career trajectory, anxieties, and patterns of behavior that shape how they respond to everything you show them.
Try it yourself
A conversation, not a survey
Upload documents, images, or campaign mockups. The persona responds in character—with the hesitations, skepticism, and enthusiasm of a real person with their specific history.
Hey Maya, we're thinking about adding an AI assistant to our product. It would help users write better reports. What's your initial reaction?
Honestly? My first thought is 'here we go again.' We've tried two AI writing tools and both were useless. The output was so generic we had to rewrite everything anyway.
Upload PDFs, images, or paste URLs. Personas can review landing pages, ads, decks, and product mockups.
How it works
More than a persona. A person.
Traditional personas are flat documents. Ours are coherent individuals with a history, values, anxieties, and decision-making patterns that persist across every interaction.
Define the identity
Name, age, location, job, family structure. The basics that anchor every decision they'll make. But this is just the foundation.
Build the backstory
Childhood context. Formative experiences. Career trajectory. Relationship history. This is what gives the persona psychological realism—the texture that makes responses feel human.
Layer in values and patterns
What do they care about deeply? What are they cynical about? How do they shop? What triggers impulse versus hesitation? These behavioral patterns shape every response.
Set contextual states
Toggle mood, time pressure, financial stress, or social influence. Ask how they'd react to your ad after a long workday. Or when money is tight this month.
Start the conversation
Show them ads, taglines, landing pages. Pitch features. Test tone. Get immediate qualitative feedback, emotional reactions, and objections phrased in human language.
Iterate without cost
Run the same test with different personas. Change variables. They're available 24/7, respond in seconds, and never get tired of your questions.
Where you already work
Personas that show up in your workflow
Tag a persona in Slack. Get email open predictions before you send. Block deploys until user-facing copy passes persona review. Set up webhooks that trigger persona reactions whenever you ship something new.
Hey @Maya @Marcus @Linda — we're thinking of adding a usage-based pricing tier alongside our flat monthly plans. Like $29/mo base + $0.10 per API call. Thoughts?
I hate usage-based pricing. I can't forecast my budget if costs change every month. My finance team will ask me for a number and I won't have one. If you do this, I need a spending cap I can set myself—hard limit, no surprises.
Actually I'd prefer this? $29 is way more approachable than your current $99 plan. I'm not making many API calls right now anyway. Let me start cheap and scale up as I grow. That's how I think about it.
The positioning matters here. If you frame it as "pay for what you use" that sounds like a utility. If you frame it as "start small, grow with us" that sounds like a partnership. Same pricing, different story. I'd test the messaging before the pricing.
API access included on Team and Enterprise plans. Build custom integrations, trigger persona conversations from your own systems, or embed persona feedback into internal tools.
The difference
Stop guessing how Persona A would feel. Ask them directly.
Traditional personas
- Static documents that never change
- Abstract demographics and stereotypes
- Interpreted differently by each team member
- You read about them, then imagine their response
Refolk personas
- Dynamic—they respond, argue, hesitate, change their mind
- Narrative-driven, grounded in a believable life story
- Consistent—the same person responds the same way
- Interactive—you talk to them, not just read about them
Pricing
One persona costs less than one focus group participant
A single focus group runs $5,000–$15,000 and gives you two hours of feedback from 8 people. Our personas are available 24/7, respond in seconds, and give you perspectives that actually match your target audience—without the cost, scheduling, or brand risk.
